How long will the procedure take?

The inital appointment will be approxiamtely 2 hours. The majority of this appointment is mapping, designing and sketching the desired eyebrow shape, choosing the best pigment colour, and waiting for the numbing cream to take affect. The actual microblading takes approximately 30-45 mins.

How long does it take to heal?

The eyebrow area will appear slightly red after teh procudure and the colour will look very dark. This is normal for the procedure and part of the healing process. The coour will fade up to 40% as it heals. In te following days, the eyebrows will appear very dark and you will notice slight scabbing. Do not touch or pick at the scabs as that may damage the skin and prevent the microbladed area from healing properly. The colour will lighten as the skin heals. There is no downtime after a microblading prodecure. It takes approximately 7-10 days for the microbladed area to heal and approximately 1 months for the colour to set in completely. you will notice the colour to be very light after the 2 weeks healing process, the skin will have an opaque milky looking quality to it. This is known as the milk skin and it common in tattooing. This is due to the tissue still healing from the inside out even though the surface of the skin is healded. The true colour of the microbladed eyebrows will reveal after 4 weeks.

Is the touch up necessary?

YES! A touch up appointment is necessary 5-6 weeks after the intial procedure as everyone heals differently and the outcome will vary. Certain strokes will not be picked up after the intial healing and will need to be redone. Pigment colour may be adjusted, brow thickness and more strokes can be added. Clients with very oily skin often require a deeper shade during the touch up appointment as the oils tend to lighten the pigment. Most importantly, the touch up appointment is when we refine your brows to ensure it looks perfect and that it retains the pigment for as long as possible.

Can I get a touch up sooner than 4 weeks?

Touch up sessions should not be done earlier than 4 weeks after the inital microblading procedure as the pigment has not fully settled into the skin. Most importantly, this is to prevent scar damage as teh tissue requires time to completely heal.

Does it hurt?

The pain level of the procedure varies from each client but can be described from mild to none. Prior to the procedure your technician will apply a topical anesethic to numb the area and will also reapply during the procddure. Everyone responds differently to the anesethic; depending on the client, the feeling has been descrbied from as light cat sctraches to the feeling of a normal tattoo.

After the procedure, redness and slight swelling is normal. Clients desribe the area to the feeling of a light sunburn. Clients can take Tylenol but not Asprin or Ibuprofen.
